MT companies given biomass USA Grant Inc

Some local businesses are getting a lot of money to deveop what the Department of Agriculture calls woody biomass.

 

Montana Congressman Denny Rehberg made the announcement Friday that four Montana business will get $1 million from the Department of Agriculture.

 

The USA Grant Inc will help create markets for material from small trees and trees with low values removed from forest restoration activities.

 

Big Sky Shavings of Hall is picking up $250,000, another $250,000 is headed to Kootenai Business Park Industrial District in Libby. Mark’s Ranch and Lumber in Clancy has be awarded $211,500, and $250,000 is headed for Olser Logging, Inc. of Bozeman.
